EARLY START TIME THIS SUNDAY AT 5:00AM The 6th tournament of the Bass Pro Shop - Grapevine Tournament Series is this Sunday, July 6th at Lake Grapevine. The tournament will launch from the "Dove Loop" ramp. PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE. Registration for this tournament will open at 3:00am and anglers will be allowed to launch and proceed directly to their first fishing holes. NO FISHING OR LINES ALLOWED IN THE WATER UNTIL THE OFFICIAL START TIME OF 5:00AM! This change of time frame has been necessitated to ease congestion at the ramp during the holiday weekend and for boater safety for this tournament only. Weigh-in will open at 1:00pm and close at 1:30pm. Grapevine Tournament Series # 6 When: Sunday July 6th Where: Lake Grapevine Ramp: Dove Loop Format: Open Team / Individual (Anglers Choice) Entry: $50 Per Boat + $10 BIG BASS & $10 Jackpot Optional Donaldson Duo Crush Field at BPS Grapevine Series # 5 Ryon and David Donaldson crushed the entire field of (27) teams at the 5th Tournament of the Bass Pro Shop - Grapevine Tournament Series on Sunday. Ryon and David brought in a limit of (5) over-the-slot "toads" tipping the scale at 24.34 pounds which is a new series record. According to Ryon and David, they had caught several "overs" and culled several big bass to maximize their final weight. Doug Powell and Jerry Corporon took 2nd Place with a five-bass limit of 16.85 after a fish-care penalty. This included the BIG BASS of the tournament at 8.97. John Strong and Ryan McGrail finished 3rd with 14.01 which included a 4.80 kicker. Chase Kelly and Jordan Logan took 4th with 12.64. Rounding out the Top-5 were Clint Freeman and Garrett Winford with 12.07. For final results see "Grapevine Results".
The DFW Region’s Two-Day 2008 Championship will be held July 12th - 13th at Cedar Creek. We will host a BBQ after the first day of competition at the host hotel, Country Side Inn in Malakoff. In order to qualify for the Divisional Championship you must have competed in a minimum of (4) One-Day Division Qualifiers of any region.
